We’re back where it all started for us with a whole new collection designed to help us slow things down.
Story
We found that many people -including ourselves- wear our overstimulation as a badge of honour: The more we do, the “better”. We want to steer away from that socially constructed mindset and wanted to create a tool to help remind us to slow things down, be more mindful, present, and overall more aware in our day-to-day.
This will be our third collection release for the Thinking Egg. Each collection is unique in both aesthetic and feel. For this collection, we asked our community, “What is it that you’d like to hold in your hands?” This influenced our material choices as well as our choice of collaborating manufacturers – allowing us to create a collection we think our community is going to love ❤️.
Historically, for different cultures around the globe, the egg has symbolized life, wealth, promise and regeneration. We strive to create an aesthetic, tactile experience with the intention of aligning with this powerful archetypal symbol.
Balancing at 17mm wide and 23.36mm tall, the Thinking Egg is ergonomically designed to feel great in your hands while being extremely portable and discreet.
Thinking Egg III is available in five new elements, each with unique properties. Choose the Thinking Egg(s) that you feel an affinity for based on the various characteristics of each material.
Each and every Thinking Egg has a unique appearance and texture making each one truly one of a kind. With each collection release, we focus on both textural, aesthetic and symbolic characteristics that can lend to the entire collection as a whole.
Last year, via our backer survey, we introduced the Damascus Steel Thinking Egg Plus. At 3.5 x larger and weighing 1000g heavier in weight (by comparison with certain elements)- we wanted to create a staple piece to live in our homes: a sophisticated and well-designed visual reminder to help us to slow down.
The response was fantastic and we’re incredibly excited, for the first time, to introduce the Sand Blasted Iridescent Thinking Egg Plus edition✨ We believe many of our supporters will love the weight and feel of the Plus editions and are also incredibly excited to re-introduce the hand-forged Damascus Steel Thinking Egg Plus. We’re also very excited to introduce our new and updated base stand made from sustainable Paulownia wood. We took into account the feedback from our backers after the first base stand release and made significant improvements to the design. Now, the base stand ships and arrives in one piece, ensuring a hassle-free experience for our customers. It’s a simple, sleek and attractive addition to displaying your entire collection.
For this collection release and for the first time, we’re introducing add-ons for our supporters to seamlessly add to their selections.
