CHEEKY | The strongest and safest dog toy !

Story

Drawing on the experience of more than 15 years of Celia and Benjamin, 2 ballistic engineers who previously worked on developing bulletproof vests and ballistic helmets for military, we specifically tailored our products to become the reference for safe plush toys for tough chewers.

This included considerations such as strength and durability, bite angles and the specially designed mix and assembly of fibers.

We used the best materials as we are using them for body armor, in order to produce the first dog toy made with Ultra Hight Molecular Weight Polyethylene non-toxic military grade ballistic fibers. This allows our Cheeky plush toys to withstand the most stubborn of bite.For more than 2 years, we developped and perfected 3 dog toys using a special assembly of ballistic polyethylene and nylon 6,6. 

We decided not to use aramid such as Kevlar as it degrades when wet and is very easy cut (even with standard cissors) in comparison with Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene.

Initial prototypes, made from Nylon and Ultra High Strength Polyethylene fibers, were used to evaluate toys strength, durability and functionality. Playing with ultra safe dog toy can help your dog to let off steam  in total safety. Dog parents don’t have to constantly check if their furry friend is ingesting armfull stuffing or chocking.

Celia, Alice (her sister) and Benjamin (her husband) were running a bullet-proof vest production unit in France when Celia and Benjamin adopted a dog, Apache, a 4-year-old American staff.

Apache was destroying all its supposedly “indestructible” toys within minutes, so in 2022 Celia, Alice and Benjamin decided to completely rethink the design of dog toys with materials and techniques similar to those used in the defense industry.

By analyzing the performance of their first creations, incorporating ballistic fibers and assembly techniques from bullet-proof vests, compared with the so-called “resistant” toys on the market, this small family set about the task of designing a range of toys that would combine safety, durability and fun, drawing on the advice of veterinarians and experts in canine behavior.

We are a team of devoted dog owners who have committed ourselves to create innovative products, prioritizing the hapiness and well-being furry friends.
