In a vast starry sky fantasy, we adopted a special design that draws out the deliciousness of Japanese tea. With an ingenious design that looks like a UFO, it has a 360° rotating tea strainer that uses the combined unit of a snap-in structure and tumbler principle. You can be sure it will have a wonderful experience making and drinking tea.

In 2021 we created v1.0 and v2.0 and received tremendous support from many people who love using the set. We have created a new version for this project, v3.0, which uses a rare glass material making it more durable and stylish.

Designed around the idea that less is more, the ET Houhin, which is a small handleless Japanese teapot, is a tea utensil with an impact. We are confident in having less but better.

Among a number of houhin around the world, the ET Houhin is considered a rare type. It has a 360° rotating tea strainer that uses the combined unit of a snap-in structure and tumbler principle.

You will often see in a number of small teapots having a stainless steel tea strainer, but the tea strainer is a part of the ET Houhin main body, with 65 small holes 3 mm big.

Unlike conventional methods, the tea strainer is designed with a rotary filter method that by gently lifting it by hand it will automatically and smoothly filter the tea. We came up with that design so that tea can be deliciously brewed.

We updated the ring handle on the pot that helps prevent burning and is shaped like a cuff bracelet to look more elegant but also more convenient to use. It is a premium houhin that can charm even the person who uses it to make tea.

In order to prevent spilling while pouring, we designed the shape of the spout to resemble an eagle’s beak.

In order to fit with today’s more modern lifestyle, the tea canister has a simple design with a rubber seal on the lid to ensure it is sealed airtight. By doing so you keep the fragrance of the tea from escaping keeping its freshness while keeping out tea leaves’ archenemy, moisture.

Since there is no fine mesh tea strainer, it can easily be disassembled and has a wide diameter, allowing it to always be clean because it is easy to wash and dry properly.

We have prepared a set that comes with the houhin and 3 tea cups (the bigger set also includes the tea canister) that was made for compact storability.
