A modular, lightweight bike rack for people who love biking but hate the tedious task of installing and removing their bike rack.

Most big bike racks are immensely heavy, and installing them can be a frustrating multi-person endeavor. Enter Charles, an engineer with a family who loves skiing and mountain biking the Cottonwood canyons near their Salt Lake City home.

After launching the Chuck Bucket Ski Rack in February to make hauling skis simpler and lighter, Charles returned to the drawing board to give people a way to haul a load of bikes without the unwieldiness of other trailer hitch racks. And thus, the Chuck Rack was born: a vertical, patent-pending modular bike rack that goes on in separate, lightweight pieces and stores less than two feet wide.

Shipping costs are outrageous right now. There is no way to charge actual shipping on Kickstarter and so the shipping costs are based on east coast distances. If you choose to ship, and actual shipping costs are less than we charged, we will refund you the difference minus $10. Loading Is Quick and Simple

RV Approved

We are happy to report that our rack is RV approved; however, especially with six bikes, there is a lot of force on the hitch so we require a 2″ hitch rated for 500 lbs minimum.

This means we believe our rack will not encounter mechanical failures on the back of your RV under normal road conditions and inspection prior to use. RVs have a tendency to back into things, drag the rear, all sorts of non standard scenarios, Regular inspection is required! Off Road rack use is not warrantied and is at the users own risk. Also if bikes are not strapped in or strapped in incorrectly we don’t warranty your bike falling off.
